Badelona

Canon 7D, Canon 10-22@14mm, F22, 0.3S, ISO100

The beach at Badelona, a few kilometers along the coast from Barcelona. Not too sure what these pyramids are for but they've done a nice job of turning them into art. Was quite disappointing after getting up at 6am to have such a dull sunrise but you can't have it all.

I think this is an old power station but I've not managed to find any info about it. It can't be that long since it was in service as on google maps there's steam coming out of one of the chimneys. Some of the graffiti around the perimeter wall is quite stunning.

  1. I like the sunrise...it's a beautiful pale lilac accent. Much better than a thundery, gray, sky that I woke up to this morning.

Not sure if you recognize or even know who that little dude is on the fence, in the second shot...but it looks to me like "Waldo", from the series of books titled, "Where's Waldo?" They're a seek and find style of book.

    Your photography always shines!

  3. Now there's the rub. It may be graffiti but they may also be good art in many ways.

  4. An amazing set of unusual images. When it comes to light and weather related issues, it's always difficult to get the perfect shot that you want unless you either live there or visit the location repeatedly. You always make a good job of it given your circumstances.
