Callanish round 2

Here's the best of the rest of my shots from last night
The sun going down on a beautiful evening.
The almost full (it was full moon's eve) rising.

  1. Apart from the 'art' effects created by the torch these are such different pics from the usual ones that appear. I am quite overwhelmed by your creative talent and ability and dedication to the task. Phew.

  6. They are all magical and look like they'd belong in some fantasy film (or book illustrations). You should do a photo book from the island.

  7. Thanks for all the nice comments everyone. Had a lot of fun making these images. There were a few other people taking pictures that night and I think they thought I was a bit nuts running round and round the stones with a torch in my hand for 5 hours in the freezing cold constantly cleaning my lenses as they fogged up. Small price to pay for some nice shots. I did take a few more that didn't unfortunately come out very well but at least that leaves something in the bank for next full moon.
Also managed to sell my first 2 prints this week which is a good start.
    Thanks again everyone.

  8. On the second to last pic the "sweeping" sky effect is great; it lends an air of mystery and expectation....
